Fishing from a boat isn't allowed from what I've read, but you don't need one. Oquirrh lake is more like a skinny canal system than a lake.

Oquirrh Lake is currently owned and maintained by Daybreak Community Association (HOA), which means that it is considered private property. The trail system and parks around the lake, however, are open to the public.
