We came down with some friends and saw the ruins nearby before sauntering down to this gem. You're able to run up and down the stairs that were around during the height of the Roman Empire! There are tunnels to explore and lots of cool spaces to play in.

The Antique Theatre of Vaison-la-Romaine would date from the 1st century AD. It is estimated that the stage wall rose to 25 m, was 8 m deep and 23 m wide. In 1912, many sculptures were discovered in the pits of the ancient theater. They are now kept at the Théo Desplans Museum in Vaison-la-Romaine.
