RCA's National Training Centre at Quamichan Lake in North Cowichan, BC will play host to the National Rowing Championships for the first time this weekend, as rowers from across the country contend for National Champion titles in singles and pairs events.. Amongst those competing are seven members of the 2022 World.

Quamichan Lake in North Cowichan, British Columbia will play host to the 2022 National Rowing Championships from November 10-13, 2022. This will be the first time that Quamichan has been the location of the National Rowing Championships.

The Quamichan Watershed Stewardship Society (QWSS) — also known as "Quamichan Stewards" — is a registered charity whose mission is to encourage and support activities to promote the watershed health and water quality of Quamichan Lake.

While Quamichan Lake is considered an urban lake, lying as it does within Duncan's city limits, it rarely feels like it, parts of it are indeed quite wild and beautiful. One can easily spend and afternoon, or possibly an entire day, exploring this unique and picturesque lake. The Lake can be accessed through Art Mann Park which features a full boat launch, picnic area and a children's play.

Quamichan Lake east of Duncan in the Cowichan Valley has good trout fishing. You can launch a car-top boat at Art Mann Park on Quamichan Lake. To reach the park, follow Trunk Road east of downtown Duncan to Tzouhalem Road, then Maple Bay Road to Indian Road, which leads to the park.
